| Station & Equipment
The
Manitou Springs Volunteer Fire Department station that
is currently occupied was built in 1965. Originally it
was 35 feet by 44 feet and housed two trucks. An addition
was built in 1985 & 1986 that expanded the size to 70 feet by 44
feet. It is now home to 2 class A pumpers, one brush truck
and two antiques. The second story of the fire house contains
a meeting room, kitchen, TV & lounge room, 3 bedrooms,
computer room and chief and captain office. Plans are in
the works to remodel the bedrooms and bathrooms. The station
was built by the volunteers of MSVFD.

2001
saw our purchase of a Balier FS7 compressor that will be used
for filling our SCBA tanks.
